Paul Henry pencil sketch with gilded frame and museum glass
For this Henry piece we window mounted the image using an ivory 8ply mount, which is museum grade. The frame is a 20x30mm box frame. We gessoed the frame to seal it. Red bole was applied to the top of the frame. 24 karat gold leaf was layed on the red and the burnished to a high shine. Museum glass was requested as it was hung in a light filled room. This helps to almost competely reduce glare and filter out harmful UV rays.
